Pakistan’s wedding economy is huge, emotional, and often chaotic. Shadiyana wants to fix that. The wedding technology startup has raised eight hundred thousand dollars in pre seed funding from Indus Valley Capital. The investment aims to bring order to a sector valued at more than $3B and worth over PKR 900M within Pakistan.A Fast Growing Wedding Tech ChallengerA Founding Story Rooted in Real ProblemsWhy Indus Valley Capital Backed the StartupA New Wedding Planner App for Pakistan A Fast Growing Wedding Tech Challenger Shadiyana has grown fast since launch. The company now serves more than five hundred thousand users and works with six hundred vendors. It has already planned thirty thousand weddings. With new capital in hand, the team plans to expand from Islamabad to Lahore and Karachi. The co founders aim to turn Pakistan’s scattered wedding ecosystem into a structured digital experience. Their focus lies in simplifying decisions for couples while helping vendors reach customers in a transparent and organized way. A Founding Story Rooted in Real Problems The idea surfaced years earlier for Co Founder and COO Neelam Shoaib. She fell ill during her sister’s wedding and saw how stressful these events can become. Families spend heavily, yet the process still drains them. Later, she and Co Founder Izzah Zaman explored the idea of a technology solution. They came from working class backgrounds and understood the pressure to choose safe careers. But they also loved building products and solving painful problems. Zaman believes that being women founders and industry outsiders helped them. It made them disciplined and analytical. The team questions every decision by asking simple but powerful questions. Is this the best way Is this the best use of resources Are we solving the real problem That approach shaped Shadiyana’s culture and product from the start. Zaman notes that not carrying old industry assumptions allowed them to rethink wedding planning. They avoided the trap of following old rules and created solutions from scratch. Why Indus Valley Capital Backed the Startup When asked how they convinced IVC, Zaman said the fund invested because Shadiyana brings clarity and simplicity to a deeply fragmented market. The team did not disclose revenue but shared that more performance data will come later. Aatif Awan, Managing Partner at IVC, praised their customer focus and strong founder fit. He said Shadiyana creates trust within one of Pakistan’s largest but underserved sectors. A New Wedding Planner App for Pakistan Shadiyana has also launched a new end to end wedding planner app. It allows couples to search, book, and manage vendors from any location. The app provides real time tools, planning resources, and a full booking system. The company now prepares for its next growth stage. Its plans include: Expanding vendor networks across major cities Introducing advanced planning tools Strengthening operational teams Improving technology and customer experience With millions of weddings each year, Shadiyana sees a clear path to becoming Pakistan’s leading wedding platform.
